Well, so I got the site live today, feeling pleased with myself. Went down into the kitchen, put the radio on, and there was a programme on Radio 4 about a new report, The Hartwell Paper. And what does the paper argue - that instead of focussing on trying agree targets through international institutions and conferences, we should instead focus on easy, quick and popular fixes and adaptation. Sponsored by a range of different industries, and chaired by a member of Lawson's sceptic think tank, the essence is for business as usual, with much reference to reducing the 'carbon-intensity' of our industrial economy.
After much anguish, I realise that actually these ideas can be included as part of the 'what do we replace targets with?' discussion this project is all about. What is needed is to develop responses to this paper.
